I have had a few of these on different vehicles; they work very well without the normal belt noise from most serpentines. They seem to be harder to come by these days so I am hoping they haven't been discontinued.
On my 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis the Goodyear Gatorback belt solved a serious problem that is the result of worn pulleys on the alternator and power steering pump. Conventional inexpensive belts squeaked and shuddered, and there was evidence that the altnernator wasn't consistently maintaining charging voltage. After two new belts and a can of belt dressing, numerous applications, it was time to try a quality belt and the autoparts counter salesman suggested the Gatorback. This belt solved the problem. It's obviously more rigid and offers more effective contact surface to the worn pulleys as there are no belt noises and when the air conditioning compressor clutch engages nor any screaching sounds. Generally I believe that this is a quality product, well worth the money and certainly less expensivre than changing two or three pulleys on an older automobile.
